This is the 'Punk' theme board i made in our first fashion design principles session. Spent alllll day making it but I really liked how it turned out and can see how it would be used to draw design ideas from. I've found that most of my initial ideas have turned out different when I put them to practice and often I end up with a completely different outcome to how I planned, but I think thats just the fun of experimenting with and exploring ideas.

This is the image i created in our first session using adobe illustrator. I found it a lot easier than i expected and I think i preferred it to photoshop. However i feel more confident using both now that i've had a little bit of practice. I never thought making pictures could be so complicated!








Thought it was about time I started posting something. Looking back to the first week, it's a relief to finally start getting stuck in. Wasn't expecting there to be so many new people to meet but it was exciting getting to know everyone. Over the last few weeks we've started pattern cutting and construction which is a lot to take in. I think it's what I've enjoyed most out of all the units, working on the mannequins especially. Computers definitely aren't my thing but I'm starting to get used to Photoshop and adobe Illustrator. My photoshop mood board is the one in the picture. I was pretty proud for my first time using photoshop, but err hopefully i'll get better!
