Friday, 26 February 201016:43 Today we had to hand in everything we've been doing in the Lectra sessions. I've found it fairly easy to keep up with this as most of the folder consists of the things we've been doing in class. These lessons have been really helpful and have taught us the basics of the software in a short amount of time, and I've enjoyed learning something that's completely new to me. I also found making the jersey T-shirt quite simple and it introduced us to different methods such as using the twin needle for hemming and sewing in rib. I think that I will continue to practice on Lectra so that I become more confident in using it. Friday, 5 February 201013:46 Been busy working on my Manifesto project the past couple of days. It's been taking up quite a lot of time but I'm really getting into designing at the moment. We also had our Third Lectra lesson today. I'm starting to get a bit more used to it. I can remember a bit more from each lesson and we had some time to practice on it at the end of the session today which was helpful. Thursday, 4 February 201008:44 ![]() This is the work I handed in last term for the illustrator project. All I could do at the beginning was draw squares so It's been worth while! 08:36 At the start of this term we've been introduced to Buying and merchandising. It's nice to have a change from being in the studio and I found it really interesting. I didn't really know what to expect and always thought that I would prefer design, but the first few lectures have definitely opened my mind. We've already been given our assignment to do a study of a shop which is something that I'm looking forward to. We've also been introduced to Lectra which has been quite confusing. I think it will take me a lot longer to adjust to, but having time to play around and experiment with it has been useful. Already seems like there's going to be a lot more work to balance this term!! |
